Our workshops teach you the fundamentals of various programming languages, game development, web development, and even host Capture the Flag competitions to test your skills. They range from full-day classes held in the computer labs of the University of New South Wales, to short classes after-school at high schools throughout Sydney.
Over two hundred students sign up for each workshop, so it's a great opportunity to meet others that have the same interests as you do.
Our workshops range from introductory classes that assume no previous experience, to advanced classes that will challenge the strongest students.
Mentors are the heart of our workshops. As students of the School of Computer Science and Engineering, mentors are passionate about sharing their love for what they study.
Diversity is a vital part of the computing of tomorrow. That's why we are proud that our workshops do not discriminate, and welcome students of all religions and gender identities.
A large part of Compclub is engaging with the local community through school or library visits. We offer programming workshops including Python, C, and Game/Webdev, but also pathways workshops aiming to empower students to make informed decisions about their future academic and career pursuits in computing.
The Rural Roadtrip is Compclub's flagship outreach event, delivering programming workshops to various schools across rural NSW!
Workshops aside, we also run a wide variety of events -- giving students a great opportunity to test their skills, and meet some industry professionals!
